About SwapMonero, a Monero exchange with no sign-up
SwapMonero swaps other coins into Monero (XMR) and XMR into other coins. There is no account to open and no ID upload to start a swap. You paste the address that should receive the coins, send your deposit to the address on screen, and the swapped coins go straight to the wallet you chose.
Readme: what it does
This Monero exchange does one job: it trades crypto with XMR on one side. Send Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT or one of hundreds of other coins and get XMR back, or send XMR and get another coin.
It is non-custodial. There is no balance on the site and nothing to withdraw later. Each swap starts with your deposit and ends at the address you entered.
How a swap runs
SwapMonero keeps it to three steps. Pick the pair: choose the coin you send and the coin you want. The rate refreshes every 30 seconds. Pick a fixed rate, locked for the whole swap, or a floating rate that follows the market.
Paste your address: enter the wallet that will receive the coins, plus a refund address if you want one. The form shows the minimum and maximum for the pair before you confirm.
Send and track: deposit to the address shown on screen and follow the swap with your order ID. Timing depends on network confirmations. Most swaps take minutes; Bitcoin swaps usually take 10 to 30 minutes.
Setup: what you need
A wallet you control. Its address is where the swapped coins land. Copy and paste it, then check the first and last characters. Crypto transfers can't be undone.
The coins to swap. At least the minimum for the pair and no more than the maximum. Both limits vary by pair and are shown before you confirm.
A refund address, if you like. It is optional. It gives the swap a place to send coins back if it ends up refunded.
What it isn't
Not a wallet. SwapMonero holds no account balance for you, and your keys stay in your own wallet. Nobody here needs your seed phrase or private keys, so keep them to yourself.
Not a mixer. It is an exchange. One coin goes in, and a different coin comes out at your address.
Not a way around the law. The terms of service forbid illegal use. In rare cases, an automated compliance check can hold a swap or refund it.
